No one is exempt from that horrible case called writer’s block. As a blogger, I have gone for several days, sometimes even weeks, without updating because I just couldn’t seem to find any topic, not even a source of inspiration from which to draw my articles.
If you maintain a personal blog sometimes you may experience a slow day, where nothing seems to be worth mentioning or sharing. My post from the other day, about the need to update a blog regularly and content building, may be able to help, but sometimes, you may need more than just a general subject.
Writing Prompts, or prompts, are very helpful whenever you find yourself wanting to write an entry but just couldn’t think of a topic. They are short blasts of ideas that you can use as an inspiration for your blog entry. Sometimes writing prompts come in the form of questions, but sometimes they can be a single word, or a phrase, or even a picture.
You might want to visit the following sites which have writing prompts to finally help you overcome that writer’s block.
- Writing Fix
- Creative Writing Promps
- Writing Prompts from ABCTeach Directory
- Daily Writing Prompts from The Teacher’s Corner
- Writing Prompts from Writer’s Digest
